Every Thursday evening from 5 to 9 p.m., enjoy an evening stroll through the downtown San José del Cabo Gallery District. The weekly Art Walk has become a tradition and one of our area’s warmest and most popular social events, closing off the main street to foot traffic, and opening the many interesting local galleries.
The event is a great way for visitors — and locals too — to get out and discover area arts and artists, all while enjoying wine and dining in authentic neighborhood restaurants. It’s the perfect relaxing social evening for everyone. And more often than not, local galleries will have special events like “artist in attendance” as well as unveiling new exhibitions. Art Walk is a must-do event worth saving the evening for.
Let us make your reservation at one of the local specialty restaurants (tables tend to fill up quickly), perfect for savoring a great meal after the event. Start with a walk through the main square, visit the local shops and vendors around it and get to the street of Alvaro Obregon, also known as the Art District, and let your special evening get started!
Months for this great event can vary, so check with your Concierge.

If letting loose “where the land ends and the party begins” sounds good, a visit to Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas is just what the doctor ordered. This popular hangout, founded by former Van Halen front man Sammy Haggar, is a restaurant, bar, and nightclub all in one. Drop in early for tasty Tequila Shrimp, or grab a handcrafted drink and stick around to dance the night away to live music. With musical acts daily (call the Cantina for the schedule), a visit to Cabo Wabo Cantina is a guaranteed good time.
Complimentary parking is available at Cabo Wabo Cantina, but if you plan to relax and have fun safely, you can always ask Javier at the entrance to call for a cab to bring you back to the resort before the sun rises!

Santa Maria Bay and Chileno Bay, a short and direct 6-mile journey from your resort, are undoubtedly some of the best spots in Los Cabos to visit, not just for relaxing on the sugar-sand beaches, but exploring the ocean waters, too. And many locals would say getting out and exploring the water via day-sail, kayaking, or snorkeling excursion is a must-do when here.
The clear blue-green waters offshore are perfect for seeing schools of colorful tropical fish, many of which aren’t afraid of humans, letting you get great up-close views. Nearby, explore tidal pools and reefs — perfect for coming upon not only colorful fish, but eels, starfish and even sea turtles.
Whether you get there with a tour or driving, or in a cab we’ll happily arrange for you, we can help you find a palapa (beach hut) with our friend Gonzalo, one of the nicest lifeguards there. He can help if you’re looking for some shore fishing or getting snorkel gear, kayaks and paddleboards to enjoy the full experience.

Enjoying an authentic meal at this Cabo San Lucas institution should be on everyone’s list. Tucked away on Médano Beach, “The Office” got its name by being a long-time haven for locals and the rare traveler dating back decades. It was — and still is — a place to meet, relax and enjoy deliciously simple, traditional fare like ceviche, fresh fish, burritos and, of course, margaritas.
Thursdays feature the popular Mexican Fiesta celebration, and dining right on the beach is always recommended. Be sure to call us to arrange reservations made for a nice table right on the beach to ensure you get the best views — especially during sunset hours. When you arrive, ask for Martin or Elias; they usually treat guests like lifetime “amigos!”
